Plex to Navidrome - What hurdles to expect?

As my music library continues to grow (currently at 120K files 3.3TB) I would love to switch to Navidrome. However I cannot see a clear and simple path to migrate all my user ratings / playlists from PMS to ND. I am just wondering how users approached this task in the past, what issues & challenges they faced.

I lost all my ratings/playlists (r/p) when I migrated over :smiling_face_with_tear: . But it is worth it in the long run with how much smoother the experience is with ND and Symfonium.

I have also lost my r/p during my time on ND as well. While on ND, the r/p data got lost after some of the files/folders got re-named during some much needed reorganizing.

It’s over my head how to save the r/p but I do know it’s not too-too bad just rebuilding it again after losing it (I lost well over 1000 ratings and a few good playlists).

I played around with ND and by far it’s so much smoother than PMS and of course on the nas it’s more efficient.

Luckily I utilize the comments field as a back up to rate my music (1-5) but once again ND does not allow multiple / batch ratings .

I can’t get symfonium to read my comments as I intended but didn’t want to bug the dev for what I assume to be a pretty individual user case scenario.

OMG this was a limitation in PMS. Just checked ND and my comments (1-5) are visible. OMG

I am hoping at least in the future symfonium will implement multiple / batch user ratings which has been requested by other users & myself

And just like that I transferred my whole music library to ND thxs to Symfonium. I am utterly speechless. Only thing missing is now native batch user ratings. I will continue to use my workaround with the comments field as user rating in Symfonium & Fooyin music player (Linux) THANK YOU so much @Tolriq :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::grin:
