Plays songs on mute when the sample rate changes

Issue description:

I have all my music store locally. Some are Hi-res 24/96khz and so on. I’ve noticed when playing if the next song is a different sample rate than previous it plays on mute.

I’ll have to hit pause and play to get audio back again. I’ve turned off the experimental Hi-res player and uploaded logs under the name Hector.

Logs:

Additional information:

Using Hyper OS/ miui

Reproduction steps:

Make a playlist of 2-3 songs with different bit depth/sample rates. The second song should play muted until you hit pause/play.

From the logs everything works as expected :frowning: Even your pause / play does not trigger anything audioTrack related from the app so it’s all internal to OS implementation here.

Try to disable prefer internal decoder just in case.

Tried disabling internal decoder to no avail. However, I just turned off processing engine in the DSP settings. The issue is resolved now.

Thanks for your time and this wonderful app. I’ve already recommended this to my small audiophile community and got a few guys who are enjoying the app as well.

Let me know if logs of the player working helps.

Unfortunately logs would not help as the DSP code is from OS and out of control.

It might be worth to report to your phone manufacturer so they can fix this.
