Hi there. New user here, coming from Plexamp, with a question regarding refreshing random playlists.
Quick explanation on my player usage: Something I like in Plexamp are the radios, like the “Library Radio,” which is basically a random smart playlist of all available tracks. This I can download/cache to get a quick cached playlist of X hours of music.
Now in Symfonium I can create such a playlist as well, and I can set it to get cached, but the difference is that I can refresh both playlist and cache with one action in Plexamp: Long press, Refresh, Done. But in Symfonium, it seems, I need a couple more steps. For illustration purposes, let me go over it briefly. I need to open the playlist, press options, select edit, press Add rule group, press the arrow, and save. At this point I have refreshed the playlist, but this doesn’t automatically refresh the cache. For that I also need to press options, scroll down, press Configure offline cache, and press Apply.
From a usability standpoint, this doesn’t seem great, as I would at least expect it to recache the playlist when it changes. Before I potentially create a feature request though, I’d like to ask if this is the only way or if I’m missing something. For someone who likes to quickly refresh a couple playlists before going out of wifi range, this current approach I found unfortunately seems a little cumbersome.
Thanks for reading and any replies.
