Player hangs between tracks

Issue description:

When playing a track mix the player will sometimes stall at the beginning of the next track. The pause button has a swirling circle as though it’s buffering, but I have pre-cache set to 9 tracks, so it’s already downloaded. If I manually skip forward to the next track and then back again the same song will play without issue.
Disabling cross fades has improved the issue but not fixed it completely.

Additional information:

Issue occurs most frequently on Lenovo tablet running Android 10, though does happen on S25 with Android 16 but not as often.

Switching off cross fades reduces the issue but does not fix it completely.

In the logs your phone can’t create the audio tracks.

Do you have other external apps running like some equalizer that could lock them ?

No, the tablet does have a Dolby Audio app but it’s disabled because it slows everything down. The tablet is only used for music playback via Bluetooth

Still try to disable system EQ in the DSP settings and not use the Android DSP in Symfonium EQ settings.

Ok, all Symfonium EQ settings were off, and the system EQ was also off but I’ve disabled it in settings too. Will reset logs, have a listen and see what happens.

That didn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve uploaded a new log just now, with a description of what happened.

This one is different it’s the server not serving the data. Do you have a proxy in the middle ? Try to force http 1/1 for playback in the settings.

I think that’s a weird coincidence. My son got home from school today and said the power sockets weren’t working, the breaker had tripped, so the server may well have gone offline whilst I was testing!
