Playback via UPnP on Pioneer device stops after track

Issue description:

Playback on Pioneer device stops after track even when there is more in the playlist

I want to play a full album via UPnP on my Pioneer devices but it only plays 1 track.
I have a setup with Navidrome as server, if I browse DLNA devices (made posible via upmpdcli) from the Pioneer device there is not such an issue.

Is there any way to fix this?

Those device do not properly support gapless and returns invalid XML.

Disable gapless on the renderer settings.

Sadly this is not the solution, I tried toggling all stuff in the renderer settings, nothing is working. Are you aware of any othe solution for Onkyo/Pioneer devices for this kind of thing?

Provide new logs with proxy off.

From the logs it’s hard to understand the invalid values.

I have the Onkyo AVR and experiencing this exact issue - when UPnP casting to Onkyo it plays only one song.

I have uploaded logs via the app which should capture the behavior.

Any suggestion how to workaround this on Onkyo?

Open your own proper issue with details and logs containing the actual start of the playback.

Samenvatting

Onkyo and Pioneer are the ‘same’ brand and uses the same protocols.

I postponed my issue to 'after summer as I didn’t have time and do not know how to fulfill the question: “Provide new logs with proxy off. From the logs it’s hard to understand the invalid values.”

I’m under the impression that this is exactly the same problem and that keeping zulphu’s question in the same ticket is more clear for future review.

I’m sorry. You are asking to do it this way (Open your own proper issue) because that is the only way for him to share his logs from the app with you. So see my reply as not sent

Not even 2 devices of the same brand use the same implementation of UPnP.

Yes they all use UPnP like all the other brands, but no the issue is nearly never the same except bad gapless support.

His issue is different as he have gapless disabled so no it is not the same and so requires a different issue. Specially when this issue is marked as closed.

Yes, it’s a wrong assumption of me. Of stuff I’m not familiar with.

Can we re-open my issue also?

You asked me to “Provide new logs with proxy off. From the logs it’s hard to understand the invalid values.”. How do I do this?

The issue is very old I do not have the previous logs and any idea of what they contained.

See How to gather logs and open an issue to provide logs

Okay, I’ve generated new logs and hope they are good enough for you to find the problem. Otherwise, let me know

You still have the gapless enabled in those logs. Configure the renderer to disable gapless

Sorry, now made a log with gapless disabled

Ok thanks, seems the devices takes age to report stopped after end of track and stays in transitioning too long.
Will fix that part, and try to workaround the invalid data to have gapless else it will cause long delays between tracks.
