Feature description:
Please give us the option to force a white button/text overlay even when the background image overlay is dark.
Problem solved:
In dark mode, the button/text overlays are also usually black. This unfortunately means that the overlays are impossible to see with cover art that is too dark. Adding a button to force a dark button/text overlay would fix this.
Brought benefits:
It would work to ensure that the overlays are always visible even when using dark mode.

I was able to achieve a similar mock-up by having the app itself in light mode and having the now playing screen “Force Black Overlay Colour” option turned on.
Screenshot 1 is what the now playing screen looks like usually on dark mode and a dark album cover.
Screenshot 2 is what the now playing screen looks like with the app on light mode and the “force dark overlay colour” option turned on. The goal is to be able to achieve something like this but without having to use the app in light mode as some users may not like that.
