Addition of the option to display track sample rate in track lists. Can currently display codec & bit rate, but not sample rate or bit depth (sample rate more important than bit depth).
Perhaps this info could be displayed on the album page, as typically albums are of the same sample rate. Some are not, “mixed sample rate” could be displayed in that case.
Problem solved:
Being able to tell the difference between albums that are the same album, but one may be a high res version while the other is standard Redbook.
Being able to display this info is just nice in general.
Brought benefits:

Other application solutions:
Plexamp displays album sample rate at the bottom of the albums track listing. UAPP displays a high res logo on the album. Qobuz displays both
I see on the album page for the latest beta this has been added, but lists the bit rate. I think that makes a lot of sense for lossy compression, but with lossless compression this info is a bit less relevant. Yes, from the bit rate one can assume the sample rate but typically the relevant info would be 44.1khz, 96khz, etc.
Would it be possible to display bit rate for lossy files and sample rate for lossless files? Or have you exposed that in the settings already? I looked on the album page config and didn’t see anything, but I have not gone through all the settings with a fine comb at this point.
That doesn’t appear to be the case. What I’m saying is that it should say 96Khz sample rate, rather than 2.5Mb/s bit rate. For lossy files, bit rate is going to determine the quality and makes sense to show. However, for lossy, the bit rate is meaningless because it’s lossless compression. Displaying the sample rate in this case would make more sense.
