Option to disable the genre string in artists lists

Feature description:

The ability to disable the second string of genre information, above or below the artists name (depending on the list type), when looking at the artists/album artists/composers media list. Closer to what you would see in the home page when looking at an artist grid

I’ve been tinkering with this latest, incredible update, and I’ve been looking for this option everywhere, so sorry if it’s already available.

Problem solved:

A cleaner look, eliminating visual information that is unnecessary for some users.

Brought benefits:

A cleaner look when in the artists list, since personally the genre is not a necessary information

Other application solutions:

This only makes the genres disappear inside the artists page, and I’m trying to make them not appear when in the list view, but thank you!

Yes I agree, there’s need to be an option to remove genre from the artist list. The genre line adds clutter and I personally I spent a bunch of time trying to remove it. Please add the removal option in the next update.

Single line list ? Round grid ?

I would love this option also. I would like to use Overlay Grid without genre information. I just recently discovered symfonium and it’s really great so far and has mostly all the things I want in music player and the ability to custom the player as complex as we’d like, but the genre tags in artist page really threw me off. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it anywhere and wonder do people really like it like this. I mean I have some artists with songs in multiple genres and it couldn’t even fit in the grid. So I was really surprised to learn that there’s no option to hide it.
