Feature description
Please add a toggle switch in the settings to allow Crossfade and Smart Fade even when playing a regular album in its normal, chronological order. Currently, Symfonium forces gapless playback and completely blocks crossfading whenever songs from the same album are played sequentially.
Problem solved
For users who listen to self-made, custom, or specifically curated albums, the forced gapless mode is not always desired. I want my tracks to fade into each other in their original order without having to use workarounds like manually creating a playlist or pushing all tracks to the queue first.
Brought benefits
This feature will give users full control over their audio experience. It allows seamless, faded transitions for personal audio files and custom albums while preserving the intended chronological track order.
Other application solutions
Other media players like Windows Media Player or Musicolet do not have this restriction. They allow crossfading during chronological album playback by default, without forcing the user to create a separate playlist or manipulate the queue every single time just to use this feature.
