Option for Text in the Homepage Banner

Feature description:

I would like the option to have (character limited) text in the home page banner, to write things like “Home” or “Homepage” or the name of the app etc. I propose a 15 - 20 letter character limit on “medium“ font side

Problem solved:

It add another layer of customisation to the app.

Brought benefits:

It allows users to personalise the app even more.

Other application solutions:

Some application solutions are below.

Additional description and context:

Screenshot 1 shows Namida with the app name in the banner.

Screenshot 2 shows Tidal with the word “Home” in the banner.

Screenshots / Mockup:

You can already pin an empty smart playlist to achieve exactly this.

I’m sorry I honestly don’t know how to do that, I haven’t actually used smart playlists. Also this is more so that I can have the settings/cast buttons next to it too.

Its really easy. Create any smart playlist and name it to the text of your choice. Click the 3 dots → add to home. Then edit the home playlist to show no content. Result = just the text.

I’ve tried it and I think it’s still not ideal overall because I can’t put the settings/cast buttons next to it and I also can’t add padding to the top so it’s too close to the top and the only other way to pad it is by turning it into a card.

This is what I’ve come up with ultimately but it looks kinda strange with the buttons free like that

Just create the image you want and use it as banner.

You can definitely change the padding to remove that empty space.

Not to remove, to add. You can’t add empty space without using the card format is my point.
