OGG files without duration

App version

Production

Issue description

My .ogg files stored on Google Drive don’t show the duration, even when they’re available offline; the duration is only displayed when the songs are playing.

When I download those same files and add them to Symfonium via “Media Providers > Local Device,” the duration is displayed normally.

The option to display the duration in lists is enabled.
I tested this with both the Play Store version and Beta version 15.0.0B7 (127773).

Thank you!

Steps to reproduce

  • Add songs in .ogg format to a folder on Google Drive
  • Add the folder as a provider
  • Sync
  • Check to see if the songs have a duration.

Additional information

I have two music folders on my Google Drive. One contains .OGG files and the other contains .MP3 files. All the MP3 files display their duration normally.

.OGG files are Vorbis 2.0

Your logs are empty … I need logs reproducing the issue and so with a full sync in them.

And please upload one of those files to https://upload.symfonium.app

Ah, okay, I created the log file and sent it. Thank you and have a great day.

I meant upload one of the ogg files

I’m sorry. I just sent a song. Thank you.

That’s strange I can’t reproduce, there’s a small optimisation I can make for your specific files, but still.

Can you try to update to the beta from Symfonium Phone Beta, then in the provider clear tag cache and retry a sync ?

It didn’t work. I installed the version you suggested, I did… It didn’t work. I installed the version you suggested, but even with small folders, the duration doesn’t appear. I’ve sent a new log if you want to take a look.

Ok thanks, seems that for you Google Drive does not return content length in the answer while it does for me …

Will workaround.

Thank you, if I can help you in any way, please let me know.
