Issue description

Hi on my one drive I have my music set to available off line. If I select a track from OneDrive I can select play in symfonium. Symfonium cannot locate the storage file on my android phone for onedrive. How do I select offline files on my OneDrive in Symfonium?

So if I’m understanding this correctly, you went in the OneDrive app and made the files “Available offline” in there, and you’re trying to add those to your library in Symfonium?

That’s not really how it’s supposed to work. You could try to find the location where OneDrive stores its offline files but they’re probably not accessible to other apps.

You’re intended to set this up by going in Symfonium’s settings → Manage Media Providers → Add Media Provider → OneDrive → login here. After your cloud is scanned you can then set up Offline Rules inside Symfonium.

Or am I wrong and that’s what you e already done?

hi so yes I have my OneDrive as my library. But when I’m abroad or off line no music so I have made the folder available offline. No joy.

I have not tried to resync anything other than using the sync button option again. Do I have to unlink and link again?

I’m not too familiar with most of the media providers, but check in Symfonium’s Settings → Manage offline files.

Does your music show up there? If not, you’ll need to actually set Symfonium to add tracks to your Offline cache. See the docs here, I have no experience with that personally.

And then yes, sync the library again (while on WiFi, as it may take a lot of data).

Once that’s done, there’s a few ways to have the app show you only media that you can play offline. For example, in the Source Filter menu (funnel icon, often on Home page) you can enable the “Hide media not available offline” toggle.

And just to reiterate: making the files available offline in the OneDrive app has no effect on Symfonium being able to play them. (Unless, of course, you use OneDrive to pick a file to play.)
