Now Playing screen shows wrong codec ("ALAC") for multichannel DSD transcoded to Opus

Issue description

Hi, I found a display bug in the Now Playing screen for multichannel DSD files (5.1) that are being transcoded server-side to Opus via a Navidrome server.

Setup:

Server: Navidrome, with a forced Opus transcoding profile (320kbps) for my Symfonium player.
Source files: DSD 5.1 (.dsf), 6 channels.

What I see:

The Now Playing screen shows “DSD ➤ ALAC · 320 kb/s” for these tracks.
However, the server logs confirm Navidrome is sending Opus (format=opus, channels=6, bitRate=320).
The track’s own “Details” panel inside Symfonium correctly shows MIME type: ogg/opus — confirming the file being played IS Opus, not ALAC.
Stereo DSD files transcoded the same way correctly show “Opus” on the Now Playing screen, so this seems specific to multichannel DSD content.
I confirmed there’s no extra CPU/battery usage compared to normal Opus playback, so this appears to be a display-only bug, not an actual transcoding pipeline issue.

Attached: screenshot of Now Playing (showing ALAC) and screenshot of the same track’s Details panel (showing ogg/opus).

Thanks!

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set up a Navidrome server with a forced Opus transcoding profile (e.g. 320kbps) assigned to the Symfonium player (Settings → Players → Transcoding).
  2. Add a multichannel DSD file (5.1, .dsf) to your library on the server.
  3. Play that multichannel DSD track from Symfonium (streaming, not offline download).
  4. Look at the Now Playing screen — it shows “DSD ➤ ALAC · [bitrate] kb/s”.
  5. While the track is still playing, open the track’s “Details” panel in Symfonium — it correctly shows “MIME type: ogg/opus”, confirming the actual codec being played is Opus, not ALAC.
  6. For comparison, play a stereo DSD file transcoded the same way — the Now Playing screen correctly shows “Opus” for that one. The mislabeling only happens with multichannel (5.1) DSD source files.
