Enable it in artists page settings?

It is enabled under artist page settings, still not showing, is there anything else i need to do?

It’s the same for me.

The same applies to the roles.
Only the role of the composer can be filtered out or displayed.

@mista_j Have you found a solution in the meantime or has the error been corrected?
I have version 13.1.0b (127484).

Tolriq fixed the issue I had. Instruments for artist appear now & Multiple Artist Types & i believe even Multiple Artist Instruments are supported in the latest version. I can’t speak for the artist roles though think my library also only has the 1 role Composer

Hmm, which version do you have?

I can confirm this is working on

VER 13.1.0B3 127477

VER 13.1.0a 127482 (Current Release)

Thx @mista_j .
Btw, the current beta is 13.1.0b (127484)

I have now found the error on my end.
Unfortunately, the instruments are only read from the artist.info.
I thought that they were also read from the ID3 tags.
More precisely, I meant the IPLS frame (Involved People List).
More info: https://id3.org/id3v2.3.0

Huh, i updated my app yesterday I thought that was the newest version.

I do not know which provider you are using but i’m certain for local providers instruments are not a supported tag via ID3 tags which is what makes the Artist NFO folder so cool. But you could definitely add a request for that feature if there is not one already. The good news in your case is that you could work to export your tags to NFO files in XML format which shouldn’t be too hard & then you could have all the data you’ve already curated appear in the app as you wish.

That’s the problem: I don’t have a provider and use Symfonium as a pure offline player without streaming. I only copy MP3 files to the player, no NFO or XML files.

The advantage of the IPLS frame is that the instruments are saved in each individual track. This allows tracks to be filtered later based on the instruments.

I have not heard of this
Can you share with me a track so I can look at the tags? You can DM me.

You should also open a new feature request to see if the dev could / would support this Involved People List he’ll likely ask that you share some files with them so they can see what all is in these tags.
