No longer can play from, sync, or connect to Google Drive

Issue description:

I had been connecting to Google Drive to play music for months without issue. Suddenly I was unable to play Google Drive files (but can still play local files). I tried clearing the app cache, re-adding Google Drive media provider, reconnecting Google Account, reinstalling Symphonium but nothing has worked. I now cannot even add the Google Drive files that were previously in Symphonium.

There is no logs uploaded with your name or that description.

I tried to upload the logs, it said they were attached and uploaded. I tried following the directions and thought I had. I’m not very well versed in this. I’m not sure what to do since following the directions didn’t work.

If you uploaded from the website you probably forget to enter a description.

There’s now logs, but they show that there’s a sync running, I don’t see any playback attempt.

If you have playback issue I need logs trying to play something, if you have another issue then I need exact details about the actual issue.

I tried uploading the logs again. I can’t try and play a track because the app will not sync with my Google Drive. When I try and sync it looks like it’s working but then nothing is synced with the app. It worked for months and then stopped. I tried deleting and re adding the media provider, reinstalling the app, etc. when I took those steps all my music was erased from the app so I can’t try and play it because the app won’t reload the music from Google drive.

So there is no music for me to try playback

But perhaps you can address the non sync issue. Thx

Did you add some new music recently ? Like “Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven (2000) [24 bit FLAC] vinyl” ?

Can you upload the content of that folder to https://upload.symfonium.app/ and tell me when done ?

That was quite a while ago

I fixed it. I’m wondering if/how I can restore my favorites? I exported them as a playlist prior to uninstalling but can’t seem to import the playlist, it’s just empty.

They all are in the backup if you made one.

What did you do to fix ? And did you upload those songs as asked because they seemed to be a problem that I need to fix.

I deleted my media folder and re added it to my media provider. Then I uninstalled symphonium and reinstalled it without using my saved backup. Then I did the initial sync and it worked. Can you tell me what you think the issue with the aforementioned songs are? Also the backup didn’t work for my favorites. It just made a list of empty slots.

I don’t know since you do not provide them

In the logs the scan seemed to block on them and OOM.

For the backup to restore you need to restore data and providers at the same time as the wizard explains.
