New provider : (S)FTP

Feature description:

Hello,
I have many problems connecting to my NAS via WebDAV provider. I cannot finish any sync, so I don’t see any of my music, even if a few thousand files are scanned.
Would it be possible to have a new provider, through FTP, preferably SFTP ?
Another suggestion : would it be possible to show files already synced in Symfonium, even when sync could not complete ?

Problems encountered with WebDAV.

Brought benefits:

Secure and stable provider to access music on NAS.

Duplicate and FTP would be a lot worse for tag scanning.

Open a proper issue for your webdav problem. SMB would be a lot better for NAS access BTW.

Thanks for the answer and sorry if this request is a duplicate : I did not get any result when I searched for “FTP”…
About SMB : this solution would work only in a local network, I could not access my files over internet…

Have you considered using a VPN? I’d recommend Tailscale, it’s by far the easiest to set up. Doesn’t cost much.

Or you could use a subsonic server, such as Navidrome or LMS (would still require forwarding ports on your router or a VPN to access over the internet)
