Issue description
Using new beta. I need to keep pressing play after each song. Also when using the hi res support for local, song are loud and distorted. Log upload 2 mins ago

Steps to reproduce
Normal use of the app for the songs to stop after each one.
If hires support for local render is on, some songs are loud off they play normal

Can you please a log only reproducing the distorted sound (so not starting playback with smart fades) and also a full bug report https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/bug-report just after it happens.

Can you confirm you are playing via the speakers of the phone ?
Can you try to disable system EQ in the settings and be sure to not use the Android DSP one.
And try to disable all the Samsung dolby stuff.
Confirmed using phone speakers. I have disabled EQ and Samsung Dolby Atmos etc. screen shot attached.
Uploaded new log with hi re on and then off and back on again.
Further to this I have found the distortion happens when “prefer hardware-accelerate codecs” is on. Sound is normal when off. Additional log uploaded.
This means that it’s your device decoders doing that, there’s not much I can do about ti.
