Navidrome - unable to get media provider version

Issue description:

Similar to Navidrome - Unable to get media provider version
however I don’t have a base url set. It’s a brand new Navidrome install using Portainer following the docker-compose instructions (port mapped, docker container, data and media folders set up). Also, I can copy-paste the url I put into Symfonium into Firefox and it works fine. I’m using Tailscale. I could probably debug the issue but I have to submit logs to you.

Open App
Try to enter Navidrome URL hosted on Docker (Portainer)

Subsonic

  1. You can absolutely debug yourself and have full access to the logs as per the docs :wink:
  2. You are trying to add a Jellyfin server, Navidrome is Subsonic.

Ahhhh somehow I didn’t actually consciously perceive the Select Your Music Source page, either because I’m sleep deprived or the app went rapidly to the Add page.

I might’ve gotten more clued into my error if the error message said something like “error contacting Jellyfin server” to give me more chances to remember that this is a Navidrome server? Or even have a Navidrome option even though it’s of course Subsonic, so I don’t have to keep all these names straight? (I just set up both)

Also often in apps that have logs, they’ll “send” the logs via an emailed zip, so I have control but also have a chance to see them myself. Or display the logs in a text view. I’m sure I can dig into the docs to see what you meant, but I just followed the support instructions and didn’t see anything about seeing the logs myself (again, maybe sleep deprivation)

You can find the logs here Setttings → Manage generated fiels. From that screen you can share the logs to any destination on your phone :slight_smile:
