Missing favorited Artist and albumartist after library adjustment

Issue description:

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to look at this.

I was changing around my personal configuration for Metadata tags, getting artists to route properly and labeling album folders to notate where they came from. Essentially trying to figure out how I wanted things long term for my master library tags.

Somewhere along the way I had a permission break between jellyfin and my Picard tag writing environments, lost some albums from some artists.

To remedy this I ended up having to give jellyfin an entirely new directory for music because it wouldn’t let go of phantom information no matter how hard I tried.

Then shift back to symfonium its all working great again except… my previously tagged as favorite artists cant be found by search via the artist tag or albumartist tag VIA Symfonium. To be clear, jellyfin has no issue serving me this issue in its own GUI, same user too.

I can play the music still, it find the files. Last night I could even click a song and tell me to show me more from the artist and it would go to the artist, and show me their music accurately, but didnt display the artists name on the overview like it normally would.

Ive tried various combinations of telling the app to clear caches, uninstalling, resyncing via long press, normal press, 3 dot sub menu. Also I tried deactivating the library, rescanning on syn to 0, then reenabling the library and then long press sync, and still I can only find via album or song, not by previously favorited artists.

Jellyfin does not support favorites so the data is stored inside Symfonium, if you change all the ids server side then the data is lost.

If you have a backup from Symfonium you can extract the data from the Json.

So i totally get at this point that the problem is on the end of synfonium. But how do I fix it at this point? Other than completely reset my phone? I cant seem to get synfonium to let go of the missing favorites. Even after installing the app it still tries to find them.

I guess to be clear. I dont have a backup. And honestly other than a stable state thats the only thing im worried about. I just cant seem to find a route to establish a completely fresh start on synfoniums side.

Then better explain your issue as if you uninstall there’s nothing left in Symfonium and your issue is on Jellyfin side.

Well, thats entirely fair isn’t it. I’m rather confused myself. At this point I’ve conceded jellyfin for music and moved to navidrome. Hopefully this continues to be a fix.
