Missing Expanded Player Custom Strings During Instant Mix

Issue description

I have a Composers string and a custom album.version string added to the Now Playing Expanded Player view. These strings do not appear whenever I play an instant mix—only when I play a song directly/from an album. It’s not consistent either because maybe 50% of the time this information does appear.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Hit Track Mix from home screen or Instant Mix from a track or artist
  2. Look at Now Playing view to see blank spaces where custom strings were added

Additional information

Since it’s intermittent, it’s difficult to capture the start of the problem in the log. I entered debug mode when I was already in an instant mix experiencing the issue but the tracks showed up fine when I tried to create a new mix.

I will need more details / repro. Give the actual NPS you use and does it only touch the first song ? All songs ? …

When it fails, it fails for all tracks in the instant mix.

These are the strings I’ve added to the Expanded Player (Portrait):

String 5: Set to the built-in ‘Composers’ tag.

String 6: Set to ‘Custom’ with the template: %album.version%

I’ve exported my NPS json and attached if that helps.
