Media starts and stops during playback

App version

Production

Issue description

When I play audio, my file starts playing, then the audio cuts out. After a few seconds the audio comes back, but it’s skipped to a later time in the file. This happens several time before skipping to the next song. This happens on multiple files that play just fine on Plex on my Nvidia Shield Pro.

Device type

Android TV

Media provider

Plex

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Symphonium
  2. click a track or album
  3. select “instant mix” or “radio mix”
  4. track starts to play, but begins to cut in and out

Additional information

I tried changing various cache options, but none helped (enable rolling cache, increase size of internal storage for cache, enabling Playback cache size and changing pre-cache to 10 tracks, force first song pre-cache).

I also checked that I have all Equalizer - DSP settings disabled (as per default), and I tried disabling "Prefer internal decoder). Neither helped.

Transcoding engine is turned on.

Most options are set to their default. Most options I’ve changed are aesthetic only.

I don’t remember any of this being a problem during my trial. I’ve submitted logs via the ap itself.

Check plex logs if there’s something special. Do you use a proxy ? You can try to disable HTTP 2 for playback in the settings too.
