Issue description:
I noticed that after Android boots, and there was previously media present in the queue, symfonium’s media notification appears uninvoked, regardless whether it was open previously. The only way to alleviate this is to clear the queue or force quit the app before restarting. Otherwise I haven’t found a way to disable this quirk.
This is on Android 14. Possibly related to this issue, which I am also experiencing:
I can confirm that there is no cog in the Samsung media session. Swiping just removes the media session (until it reappears because something is played), and long press leads to a menu where you have the option to “remove”, but it seems that is the same as swiping.
You can press on “Media Output” (button in the top right of the media session) to get more configuration options, and there is a cog then, but it only allows you to set “wifi speaker playback preference” and display infos about the …

Reproduction steps:
Open symfonium.
Play any song.
Close symfonium.
Reboot Android 14.
Upon reboot, notification appears uninvoked.

This is normal and explained in a couple of issues.
Symfonium supports media resuming so the OS automatically restart the app and so reload the queue after a reboot.
If your device does not offer the do not pin media session settings then there’s not much to do.

Then the media session should disappear after the restore that’s strange.
