Personally, I think Symfonium looks great as it is… not everything needs to adopt whatever the hip design flavor of the week is. Good design is timeless, this low contrast fad garbage will be gone in a year or two. The obsession with solid white backgrounds also makes no sense now that we’ve all moved to OLED screens.
With new versions, you can pretty much make Symfonium look however you want anyway.

I am 100% for this. Material 3 Expressive is the latest Android UI Design Style and personally I think is is the best yet. There is an app called Metrolist, which is a YT Fronted. It already uses this style, even better than in the examples from OP. AND ITS GORGEOUS! I love it and really really really want to have an app that looks like this to play my subsonic library. Sadly Metrolist doesn’t support alternative music back ends.
And apart from it, I am not aware of any Material 3 Expressive music apps for subsonic. There is Tempo, but that is rather outdated and barely has enough features to function. + It is not really pretty either since it is soo barebones.
Having a fully featured music App like Symfonium adopt this new style would be so bloody awesome! Please make this happen.
