I have about 10 Plex playlists set to automatically cache on sync, but I’ve noticed lately that sometimes the playlists don’t sync/cache new music when added.
I can resolve this by opening the menu for each playlist and selecting “sync”, but it would be awesome if there was a way to simply say “sync all playlists”.
Problem solved:
Convenience for UX, altho it may be better to work out why the playlists don’t always sync after a library sync.
Just uploaded some logs under ‘talios’ (Hiby R4, another DAP similar to my Hiby R6) - after scanning 375k odd songs, no playlists started syncing, and the sync window went back to spinning on the Artists. Manually syncing the playlist didn’t seem to do anything either this time.
Now, my Plex server is currently under a bit of load as it’s still processing sonic analysis for a bunch of new albums I just added.
If it’s a temporary issue due to the load, surfacing some form of “sync failure” notification might be useful. I also have 20166 tracks sync (659gb) so I wonder if it’s related to checking what files are local on the device vs the playlists.
I wonder if this thread can/shoiuld be moved to the Support forum?
I request songs starting from a position, the server returns no song but tells me there’s still 7 songs missing (total 373023 but 0 result when asking starting 373016)
A case I never saw nor think should be possible, so Symfonium just keep asking give me those damn 7 songs and the server keeps answering here’s 0 songs, ask again for the 7 missing
I’ll add a security around this case, but there’s something strange on Plex side.
Interesting - this is using the latest Plex Server build - Version 1.41.2.9092 - I wonder if it’s related to Plex processing new tracks - I’ll ping the Plex guys and see what they say.
