Feature description:
An option to have a single line horizontal scrolling main navigation bar preferably with an option to show lables instead of icons.
Problem solved:
I’ve noticed you can add a large number of main navigation buttons. Adding more simply makes the icons smaller & smaller which can make actually pressing those icons a bit tougher as the touch point is smaller.
If we had a scrollable bar of main navigation entries we could have more entries without them being tough to press & it could even be possible to switch to whatever view is next by simply scrolling one option over.
Brought benefits:
This could allow for quicker navigation to more views of the app with the convenience of always being available.
Other application solutions:
Samsung music does this although it is at the top of the app (not suggesting you move the UI to the top)
Additional description and context:
Swiping along the top in samsung music creates a bolder text for the current view & the user can either swipe or tap to change views.
I’ve added a contextual screenshot of Symfonium to show how the icons shrink as you add more navigation entries. I’d also like to note some of the icons for different views look very similar which is why I suggested giving an option to show lables instead of icons in the horizontal scroll.
