For now, I won’t request this feature because I’m still not familiar with Symfonium and I’m not sure if this is a problem caused by my misunderstanding of the correct way to use the lyric interface.
Here’s what I’ve found: to enter the lyric interface, you need to click on the lyric icon in the lower left corner of the cover in the playback interface, which will take you to a secondary lyric interface. But I feel that the focus of this lyric interface might be a bit off:
Because this interface is secondary, not at the same level as the playback interface, you need to go back twice to exit to the outside.
Album information and related quick jumps, as well as swiping left and right to switch songs, are not available in this interface.
Is the lyric control docker at the bottom a request from a user in the past? I personally think these functions are only used in very few cases, but now they are very easy to accidentally touch. Can they be hidden?
If this is indeed the unchangeable pattern of the current lyric interface, I would like to propose a feature request to design a specific plan to make the lyrics a replaceable element within the playback interface. What do you think?

I will first say if you play around with the settings specifically the “Now Playing Settings”, “Expanded now playing” as well as the lyrics settings which are found by hitting the gear when viewing the lyrics you can most definitely retain media control functions & even view the album art if you so choose.
It is true however that album info & some functionalities from the now playing screen are lost when viewing lyrics.
I’d argue though that the idea behind this design choice is that a user looking at the lyrics has chosen to look at the lyrics instead of the now playing view so in lyric view the main focus is the lyrics.
I do see the appeal of viewing the lyrics without having to give up functionalities of the now playing page. You can most definitely put in a feature request & hopefully the developers can provide a solution or some answers.
As for needing to “go back twice” to return to the now playing view from the lyrics view i believe one press should suffice, either that or tapping the X if you have the “show close button” enabled
Oh, by “go back twice,” I mean that if I want to return to the playlist or the home page, I need to exit twice.
However, you’re right, I’m currently focusing on this app on my phone, so it feels a bit inconvenient. But upon reflection, most of the time I just have my phone in my pocket and don’t often look at the lyrics. So, it does seem that the needs on a mobile device are indeed different from those on a PC.
If you mean the + and - to apply a temporary offset, then that is one of my requests.
It’s quite useful in 2 cases:
The lyric timings are offset by a couple hundred ms but you want to listen to the song before fixing the underlying syncing issue, with these buttons you can make poorly timed lyrics “work”.
When you use bluetooth headphones which often introduce a delay, you can compensate for that. Same when you cast to UPnP devices that can also introduce a delay. For this purpose, being able to save a specific offset as a preset would be a good addition to adjusting the offset with + and - imho.
That has been proposed a number of times but the now playing screen is already stuffed with information. Finding a fitting place for the lyrics within that without compromising on a clean design is hard.
Personally I prefer a clear separation of the now playing screen and the lyrics view. When you’re reading (or singing along to) lyrics (at least I) only care about visual information about the song. That includes the cover art (to have something to look at while there is an instrumental part within a song for example) and the wave bar (which makes it easier to see the flow of a song).
I actually never thought of using the + / - to account for audio delay over Bluetooth. Ive definitely had lyrics that were off by a bit though & ive made some adjustments. Does Symfonium remember those adjustments the same way it remebers play / skip counts?
Nope. Those are lost as soon as you leave the lyrics view. Which is why I think an option to for example tap the ms value in the middle opening a preset window to select a fixed offset that persists between songs (and maybe double tapping the ms value to reset it to 0) would be a good feature. So far I was simply too lazy to open a feature request for this.
It would be a good feature to counter bluetooth/UPnP delay consistently tho.
