Lyric translation overhaul

Feature description:

I’d like to see 2 changes, that could also be tested to see if the community appreciates these changes or not.

1: Remove the animation from the translated lyrics.
Why? They do not contain word by word syncing.

2: Change the colour of the translated lyrics to the one that the normal lyrics have.
Why? Since these lyrics can only be translations, the user shouldn’t be confused by the same (or almost same) colour, since the 2 texts are on different line and most importantly, are in 2 different languages

Problem solved:

Having animations that do not serve any other purpose other than looking pretty isn’t useful.

The colour is just my bit for absolute Apple Music dominance, even if I actually think it looks better with white text, or something close to white.

Brought benefits:

Less animations, less load on the phone?

Other application solutions:

I’d happily show what Apple Music does with synced lyrics and translations, but I’m not from the US, so no translations for me.

I’d also like to propose to make the translations smaller than the main lyrics.
That helps cause:
1: Sometimes, Japanese lyrics that have english translations are painfully long, so that would help keeping the lyrics in view.
2: This is the standard that Apple Music uses.

In addition, I’d like for any LRC Lyric to also have the translation text in a smaller font.
This is the format that I currently use (since Symfonium respects newlines)
[time] Translated Lyric
Original Lyric
Example:
[00:01.05] So many times we’ve waved to each other
横断歩道の向こうとこっち側

Translations are already smaller, and as you can see Apple animate the translations too

The color is different because as soon as the languages are both using the same alphabet it’s easy to mix.

The screenshot has “pronunciation” turned on, and that is synced in the ttml file. The translation are synced on a Line by Line format. This does make sense, as the pronunciation is probably generated with the original lyric, making it easier to sync it.
The translations can’t be synced word by word, since they use a different language.

I’d like for the translations to be a tad smaller then, Apple Music made so you can clearly see the difference in font size. That would also help differenciate the translation from the original lyrics.

As I probably said in another post, the different colour is something I strongly disagree with. You can make it out, even if a music had the same alphabet (and the smaller text was implemented)

You posted at the same time but this is inverted … The English is the source the other is the translation in LRC format. (If you use the same timestamp) else it’s not a translation it’s a multi line text …

[00:01.05] 横断歩道の向こうとこっち側
[00:01.05] So many times we’ve waved to each other

Yeah, for now I’ve been handling it like this. I’d much rather use a standard, but there doesn’t seem to be one (LRC doesn’t handle translations).

I’d be very happy to modify my LRC files in a way that Symfonium can read them as translations.

I’ve just shown how to

Thanks, I hope you’ll at least try for a (Beta) version the proposed changes. I’ll try to supply some translated lyrics and original lyrics that use the same alphabet.

You do understand that I do things based on all users and not one who keep repeating the same thing right ?

I don’t test things in a beta to revert, I do things or I don’t.

Do you mind if I open a discussion about this and see how many users are interested in a change? (that may differ from what I proposed here)
