Low quality album images

Issue description:

Hi,
It seems like Symfonium downsizes the images of some albums.
The images that are being downsized are a bit random (never the ones that have the cover.img file).
I’ll provide the necessary Plex account with access to the Media, lookout for “Person Of Interest” or “Una Storia Semplice”. There are more albums but I guess these seem enough.

Symfonium applies the same resize to every images, you can enable the option hi res images in the settings for hi res images.

The logs do not show the download of the images so can’t really tell more.

I have turned on the high res images, wiped the cache multiple times and it still displays the low res image.
Could you try to log into my Plex instance? (I have uploaded a txt file with an account that has access to the library)

Well this is the image that your server returns, they are low quality.

The source image is 200*200.

I guess somewhere in the process the image is downscaled… The image on the flac files are HD. Thanks anyways.

Sometimes Plex takes online images and not yours too.

So I have a fix!
Apparently, Audio Station / Synology created some very invisible files (“Protected System files”) that have a downsized version of the album cover, that’s on top of the garbage that it creates by default (Small/Medium/Large Album).
Plex will prioritize the 200x200 image (As seen above) over the embedded one.
I’m glad I could find a real fix.
