Low Contrast in Top Bar Elements with some Cover Arts

Issue description:

Some of the tracks with very bright cover art causes the top bar element to be very low in contrast. I’m using the following settings for the now playing screen regarding the background

Background style - Blur
Background overlay - Gradient

Changing the top bar text color to primary fixes it somewhat, but the icons are unaffected. Also, the primary text colour itself results in low contrast text with some other different cover art.

Additional information:

This is expected since you are using a gradient background. You should either use a full gradient or use protection on the top bar.

I see, but would it be possible if the text/icons adapted to the actual background behind them instead of applying a general rule? Right now, the top bar blends in too much because of the lighter gradient.

There’s no magic in apps I can’t efficiently calculate each pixels colors imagine an image with left white and right dark. Or thumbnail mode.

There’s overlays for the top bar for that or full gradient. Full control means there’s combination that can’t work this is expected.
