Feature description:
Integrate Last.fm’s recommended tracks API into Symfonium’s Smart queue/Smart flow. When the current queue ends, the app fetches personalized song recommendations from Last.fm (based on the user’s listening habits) and continues playback seamlessly. Additionally, this integration could allow importing Last.fm curated playlists.
Problem solved:
Current infinite playback relies on server-side sonic analysis, which is a subscription feature of Plex AMP. This leads to random and less relevant suggestions.
I love pretty much everything about Symfonium, but I still find myself gravitating back to Spotify because of it’s algorithm.
Brought benefits:
Delivers Spotify-like intelligent autoplay without requiring server-side analysis
Keeps users engaged with familiar and relevant tracks
Enhances music discovery
Leverages existing Last.fm profiles and listening data
Makes Symfonium a stronger standalone alternative to algorithm based streaming apps
