Ko-fi license not working on old Lenovo TB-X605F (Android 9)

Issue description:

As mentionned via Ko-Fi private message, I’ve got 2 devices that I wanted to activate.
The first one is a e/OS/ (v2.0 Android T) that was successfully activated. Thanks!

The problem comes from an old tablet, that has no Google account on it. I installed Symfonium with Aurora, and gave it full Internet access (=> no proxy, and IPv6) to activate the license using the “Restore” button.
The tablet can open the page https://genimee.com/test on Fennec (Firefox from F-Droid).
However, a network capture on my router shows that the tablet connect to genimee.com, send SNI and ciper negotiation, and then fails with a TLS alert, which is encrypted, so I got no more clue on this.

Is there something more I can do to test where the problem comes from?
I’ve sent debug logs using the button from the “Buy” screen under my nickname.

Additional information:

The tablet TrialID starts with 43BC8F… (full ID sent via Ko-fi, just to be sure in case of confusion)

Reproduction steps:

  • Open Symfonium
  • The “Buy” screen is shown since trial expired
  • Click “Restore” doesn’t work

This is normal TLS end of communication.

The issue is that you did not reinstall the app once you enabled access as told you on Ko-fi.

The id is not in the server database so can’t be enabled.

OK, sorry for my misunderstanding.
I reinstalled the app (still with Aurora), and now the trial period was renewed for 2 weeks.
The TrialID didn’t change though, I don’t know if it’s expected.

This is normal, the trial is now handled server side.
I’ve enabled the device.
