Unfortunately, both Symphonium and Jellyfin server updated around the same time so I’m not sure what might be causing my error.
From Symphonium, Sync starts counting Artists, Albums, then Tracks like normal, but gets stuck on Tracks (stops counting up at a number much lower than the total number of tracks on my server) and eventually returns the error “sync unsuccessful, check logs if frequent”.
I reviewed Jellyfin logs, but it’s too verbose and I don’t understand what I’m looking at.
From Symphonium, I tried doing a sync during debug.
I’ve tried a couple of other jellyfin music clients (Finamp & Fintunes) which both seem to be able to index and play music from my jellyfin server.
I tried removing and re-adding the jellyfin library to Symphonium, now I can’t play anything and the sync still fails in the same way.
What direction should I look in to try to resolve this issue?
I searched for the exact error message “sync unsuccessful, check logs if frequent”. Thinking at least if someone else had encountered the issue they would have posted the error message in their question.
I didn’t have any clue that the issue was Jellyfin so I didn’t think to search for Jellyfin
FWIW: I’ve decided to try Navidrome as an alternative to Jellyfin.
Navidrome is really great. The only reason I am using jellyfin is for the Audiomuse AI plugin. Hopefully Audiomuse gets integrated into the Open Subsonic API in the near future.
It has been working with Navidrome playlists for quite some time. But the smart queuing / smart flow features are not yet possible with Navidrome to my knowledge.
I literally jump on your reply so quickly to check im that excited about it
@TheKingPin I don’t know much about it. I just remembered you had mentioned wanting AudioMuseAI for Navidrome then saw that post. Sorry if I got your hopes up for no reason.
