Issue description

Unable to add jellyfin server as media provider. Quick connect says “Unable to get Quick Connect status” (i think this is currently broken?) and regular Add fails with “Authentication error. Wrong login or password.”

I have been able to log in from my phone to this server with the same credentials using the jellyfin mobile app as well as Findroid without problem.

Jellyfin logs show this on login attempt:

[2026-05-01 18:09:01.896 -07:00] [INF] [76] Jellyfin.Api.Auth.CustomAuthenticationHandler: AuthenticationScheme: “CustomAuthentication” was challenged.

  1. Start jellyfin server
  2. Open Symfonium
  3. Add media provider > Jellyfin
  4. Enter credentials

duh, well that got me connected. Now i’m back to my previous problem of it not actually streaming. my server had a hiccup last week and i rebuilt the containers but I might rebuild the jellyfin image from scratch.
