Jellyfin Library Sync Failing

Issue description:

I’ve been having an issue with my Jellyfin library sync. New content isn’t syncing but I can browse to the new items in the Folder view and they are available. I’ve enabled the debug logging and see requests for /MusicGenres which appears to be deprecated in Jellyfin but I’m not sure if this is the issue or not.

Any help would be appreciated!

The only thing I noticed from the logs was 404 to /MusicGenres which appears to be deprecated in Jellyfin. Thanks for your help!

Start Library Sync.
Wait 2 minutes.
Library Sync fails.

Check your Jellyfin logs to know what happens. MusicGenres is deprecated but not removed even in 10.11. (The alternative is really absurdingly slower)

Good idea. Strangely I see no log entries related “musicgenres”, and nothing around the timestamps seem to relate to it. If I try to fetch from the address manually from my console for instance, I also get the 404 error so I think it’s something with my reverse proxy or just the Jellyfin server needs to be restarted. The initial syncs ran without issue and it has updated at least one time since then, so I don’t think this is a Symfonium issue.

Something else I’m missing that I can hopefully figure out. Will post back if I learn more or solve it.

edit: I see the requests coming in my nginx logs. Nothing ever appears in the Jellyfin logs though. There are two system scans running in Jellyfin so maybe they are somehow blocking it? One of these tasks will still take a while longer to finish so I will only report back in a few days when it’s complete.

Thanks for the sanity check. I’ve traced the source of the issue to an Nginx proxy issue. I had something configured incorrectly that was causing issues but I’ve resolved it now. Thanks for your help!
