Jellyfin initial syncing fails silently

Issue description:

Recently, I’ve decided to completely reset my server and redo my Jellyfin install since I intended to move where my music was located on the server filesystem and it needed some cleanup anyways. As a result I figured out that I also probably needed to reset Symfonium and redo the initial setup since everything on my Symfonium library was on the old path.

However, when I try to sync my Jellyfin library to Symfonium now, it just fails silently. I’ve never had this issue before at all so this was the first time I’ve had it. Previously syncing new additions to the library went just fine, but this time doing a complete fresh synchronization just seemed to… not work?

A notable detail is that it counted the artists and albums, but then gets stuck and never counts the total tracks from my library before ultimately failing.

Jellyfin 10.11.5
Symfonium 13.6.5a (127632) - I am enrolled in the Google Play Beta

Reproduction steps:

  1. Ensure Jellyfin is running and your library in Jellyfin is scanned
  2. Open Symfonium under a clean state (no data at all, fresh install)
  3. Go through setup and add Jellyfin as a media provider
  4. Let it try to sync with Jellyfin
  5. Observe that it gets stuck at counting tracks before ultimately failing silently (message on top disappears and nothing shows up or got synced in Symfonium)

Media provider:

Jellyfin

Duplicate of I can’t remember how many…

Jellyfin 10.11 is bugged with music, do not use it.

Are there no alternatives besides not using Jellyfin or downgrading to 10.10.x? Synchronizing my library takes a while and obviously I don’t have a 10.10.x instance backup so I’d like to avoid that if possible

I ultimately downgraded my Jellyfin instance to 10.10.7, should probably work fine now…
