Feature Request: iTunes (Apple Music) Syncing for Android
Dear Symfonium Team,
Thank you for creating such a powerful and flexible music player for Android. I’d like to request a feature that would be highly valuable to many users: support for syncing with iTunes (Apple Music) libraries on Android devices.
Feature Description:
The feature would allow Symfonium to sync music, playlists, and metadata from iTunes (or Apple Music) libraries located on a Mac or PC. This could work through the iTunes XML library file or by accessing Apple Music’s local files and playlist data. Ideally, syncing would be supported via both wired (USB) and Wi-Fi connections, giving users flexibility in how they transfer their content.
Problem solved:
Many users manage their music libraries using iTunes but use Android phones. Currently, there’s no reliable way to sync iTunes content to Android without outdated third-party tools or cumbersome manual steps. Keeping libraries consistent across platforms—especially with custom playlists, ratings, and play counts—is a major challenge.
Brought benefits:
Flexible and seamless syncing: Users can sync their iTunes libraries over USB for speed or Wi-Fi for convenience, without needing third-party apps.
Preservation of curated libraries: Syncing preserves years of playlists, ratings, and other personal metadata.
Attracts cross-platform users: Offers a smoother experience for those who manage music on a computer but use Android for playback.
Eliminates outdated tools: Reduces reliance on apps like iSyncr, which are no longer reliable or actively developed.
Thank you for considering this request. Symfonium is already an excellent music player, and this feature would make it even more indispensable for users who span both the Apple and Android ecosystems.
