Initiate an OpenSubsonic server scan

Feature description:

In the Source filter dialog, next to Sync have a Rescan button that initiates a server rescan.

http://serverip:5082/rest/startScan.view?u=…

This will only work if the user is an admin.

Problem solved:

I don’t like to have media servers monitor for file changes so I need to manually initiate a rescan.

Brought benefits:

I can perform both steps through a single GUI.

Coming from BubbleUPnP this is one of the last remaining features I miss (except viewing playlists/queues in album view which has been discussed before).

Bubble does not support subsonic :wink:

And if one day I support that (I doubt as not all server properly implement it and it’s not possible to know) it would be in the provider page not where you want it.

It’s easier to just use tools likes tasker for those tasks.

I’m coming from the UPnP world where no two servers/renderers behave the same so I completely understand your position on this.

I’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible but I’m already moving family members to an OpenSubsonic and Symfonium setup; it’s very impressive.
