Feature description:

More control over happens when a certain device is connected.

Example devices

  • Bluetooth Headphones
  • Car
  • Gaming headphones
  • Sleep headphones
  • Cast speakers

Example options

  • Autoplay on/off
  • Load Eq DSP
  • Load playlist
  • Shuffle on/ off
  • etc

Great app BTW!

Problem solved:

You want autoplay for your car but not your headphones.

Your car uses a different eq preset.

Gaming headphones won’t want autoplay

Sleep headphones might want a particular playlist

Brought benefits:

Probably called
‘Connected Device overrides’ or similar

Add connected device button which then appears in a list so you can alter it’s settings

If you use an app like Tasker, you can already set Profiles inside Tasker to control most of this stuff through Symfonium’s API.

I don’t see a way to set EQ profiles this way though–that would certainly be a neat addition to the API.

DSP switch based on active device is integrated in the app already.

For the rest as he said use one of the many tools dedicated for that and the API.
