Indicate progress of sync

Feature description:

I would like indication of the progress for sync. WebDav has an counter the first time it scans the media provider. After the first scan there is no “Sync” progress. I would like the same counter if a sync is ongoing.
Why a counter and not a progress bar?
Some media provider make it hard to know the count of all tracks.

Progress percentage, bar or log for library sync

Feature description: Add a progress percentage/bar/log for library syncs instead of the spinning indicator, even if it’s only a rough estimate. Problem solved: People with large libraries like me (almost 800.000 songs and over 20TB in Navidrome) cannot see that the sync is actually still doing something. Problem solved:

The user knows something is happening and it isn’t stuck.
At the moment the notification just says “background task” without indication what it is doing.
It would be helpfull if it gets changed to “sync with <mediaprovider> in progress”

Brought benefits:

User can estimate how long the sync will take if they know how many tracks they have.

It’s already there. Press the global filter button that is animated during the sync and see all the details.

Just to clarify my filter button isn’t animated. There is an animation after i clicked the button.

My old post that you linked reminds me of just how far Symfonium has come in the last 1,5 years.
Now with lms as the provider, scanning my library initially takes 6ish hours, a re-scan 30ish minutes and syncing to Symfonium 14-20 minutes with >900k tracks.
So good job, @Tolriq! You put pretty much any other dev I’ve ever interacted with to shame. And also good job, @itm! Thanks to you two (and a few others) I can enjoy my library on android instead of being frustrated by the experience.
