In app billing is not ready

Issue description:

Hi! Thanks for an excellent app. Unfortunately I’m stuck on the license restore screen after updating the app. Pressing restore does not restore the license, instead a section saying “In-App billing is not ready. Please try again in a few seconds” pops up.

What I’ve tried:

  • Force stopping app
  • Restarting phone
  • With VPN connected
  • With VPN disconnected
  • On data only
  • Connected to wifi
  • Check that https://genimee.com/test returns OK

Phone: Fairphone 3 with Android 14. License via ko-fi.

  2. press restore

The error is normal if you do not have Play Store.

You probably have a new trialID and need to provide it on Kofi with the previous one to migrate the license.

Ok. How can I view the new trial ID?

  • Pressing back arrow does nothing
  • Pressing purchase only makes a second billing not ready appear (same as restore)

Hum yes that’s not normal, uninstall the app then try again ?

Else provide new logs during restore + your previous trialID in the upload form.

Reinstall solved it. Trial ID is the same as before so that’s good. Thanks for your help!
