Feature description
Is there any specific network setting inside Symfonium that I might have missed to enable automatic detection for MinimServer? If not, would it be possible to look into the UPnP/DLNA network scanning mechanism to optimize this automatic discovery in the future? ![]()
Problem solved
Currently, Symfonium doesn’t seem to automatically detect MinimServer on the local network. It requires active manual searches, typing in an IP, or configuring ports. This breaks the seamless “plug and play” vibe and makes the initial setup for UPnP users more complicated than it needs to be. ![]()
Brought benefits
A seamless, instant plug-and-play experience when connecting to local UPnP servers. It would make setting up audiophile libraries significantly easier, faster, and much more intuitive right out of the box.
Other application solutions
When I start MinimServer on my Mac and open USB Audio Player Pro (UAPP), the experience is entirely plug-and-play. I just open the UPnP tab and the server is instantly listed there. There’s no need to type in an IP, configure ports, or force a network scan. ![]()

Additional description and context
Hey Tolriq! ![]()
Before diving into the main topic, I just wanted to say congratulations on the amazing work with Symfonium.
A while ago, I was looking for “the most beautiful and highly-rated music players for Android,” and the Gemini AI highly recommended your app. I was blown away when I tested it: in my opinion, it’s hands down the best and most flexible player on the market right now! ![]()
My setup and the need for Bit-Perfect audio:
My local library is entirely focused on ultra-high-resolution files (like DSD 256). I use a MacBook running MinimServer and highly technical IEMs, like the DUNU DaVinci, processed by dedicated DACs (soon upgrading to the iBasso DC Elite). To get maximum sonic authority and micro-details, I need the signal to arrive 100% bit-perfect, without the risk of compression or transcoding that servers like Jellyfin sometimes force. That’s why UPnP is absolutely vital for me.
