How do I make a smart playlist just containing recently added songs?

I might be stupid here, but in the smart playlist section I see how it can add maybe “songs added 30 days ago” as a filter

does this mean the playlist will be updated and songs will be pushed down until the playlist is empty once every single songs in there are older than 30 days (from added-to-song-list date)?

can I make it so the playlist really only shows recently added songs, maybe put a limit of 50 songs or so, pushing the older ones out of the playlist but keep the recent ones even when they’re >30 days old ?

basically, the only filter I found for Recently Added Songs Smart Playlist is one that can filter songs added X days ago, can I make it so the playlist is populated with recently added songs regardless of when they’re added?

for example, if I just added Linkin Park - In the End.flac a few months ago (i.e. it’s the latest song in my collection), then I just reinstall Symfonium today, I’d like for that song to be in the Smart Playlist

I’m not sure how to word this as english isn’t my first language, so I hope it’s understandable enough

in unrelated note, is there a way to quick scan for new songs? I see several scan options in Settings but unsure which one to use to populate my library with newly added songs

From what I understand you want an active smart playlist that will show X amount of songs and update everytime new media is added to your server.

You can do this with very basic rules
Smart Playlist
Rule - Date added - within 30 days
Sort by Date added
Max item count 50

The rules are applied as you put them.

Once you put your needs in simple words, creating the rules is obvious you do not want to put a time limit but just a count limit.
