How do I know if transcoding is supported/working?

Both the setting for offline bitrate and the help page for offline mention “if your provider supports transcoding.” Is there any way, within the app or wiki, to see which providers support transcoding?

It’d perhaps be nice if supported/unsupported features could be shown on the provider settings page.

On theory only Kodi and local device do not support transcoding.

But reality is that there’s tons of reasons that a provider could fail like missing ffmpeg for Navidrome that can’t be really detected.

People usually know what their media provider can do and chose it accordingly.
