Homepage is stuck at ‘preparing sync’ after adding my SD card as the media provider on my DAP.
Currently using a Hiby R6 Pro II. Previously also used Symfonium on a similar Hiby DAP with Android so I’m at a loss as to what is causing the issue.
Permissions for files and media is granted and I’ve also disabled battery optimization.

The logs does not show any sync attempt.
Enable logs, reboot the phone then upload logs after starting the app and have seen the preparing sync for at least 10 seconds.
Rebooted the device, re-added the sd card as provider and waited for 10 seconds as instructed. Does the new log show anything?
Well no I can see that the app is scanning the storage as expected but the actual tag extraction does not start and I can’t figure out why.
In case it’s a device bug, try to manually give the media read permission on the app and check https://dontkillmyapp.com/
Asked some friends to help with troubleshooting, turns out its most likely a permission issue with the original folder (somehow?)
Created a new folder in the SD card, moved a few files over and now Symfonium detects the tracks properly again.

Hum this is still very strange it should be logged and not just stuck

Not sure honestly. Symfonium read the files just fine when I had my previous MP3 player. Now that I switched to a new device it seems that the app is able to read any other folders in the SD card except the ‘MUSIC’ folder I previously store all my songs in.
Copying it onto the internal storage works, creating a new folder inside the card and putting all the songs there also works, just not the original folder.
