The logs confirm transcoding is disabled. They also show a 10-band EQ, USB headphone adapter, and some uncompressed WAV playback. I don’t see a repeated playback failure explaining the drain.
Please compare 30–60 minutes of the same downloaded tracks in airplane mode, keeping the same adapter and EQ settings. Disable debug logging during the battery measurement and note the starting/ending battery percentages and duration. This will help separate mobile-network activity from playback consumption.
If offline playback still drains heavily, repeat with EQ disabled. Please also specify which Android ROM/build you’re using.
Please also capture an Android bug report immediately after a listening session showing the drain, before rebooting or recharging. Keep your usual mobile-data, USB adapter and EQ setup, with Symfonium debug logging disabled during the measurement.
Note the session’s start/end times and battery percentages, then use Developer options → Take bug report and select Full report if offered. Upload the ZIP through the private support upload service, since it contains system-wide diagnostic information. Please include your Android ROM/build too.
I need the zip file, the txt only says what’s in the zip.
But if the new attempt consume battery normally this looks more like a wifi stack issue, when you stream you use wifi so it use more battery.
You might also want to try with version 15.1.0 beta 6 (see changelog) that may reduce a little network usage for the Navidrome ID change detection stuff.
after testing i’ve concluded the battery usage is pretty much a “my phone” thing, not a Symfonium thing, so i just downloaded some of my favorites to listen to without having to use up data or battery on it sorry for anyone checking the thread hoping for a better solution!
