Hide Incomplete Albums and their Artists

Feature description:

Hide incomplete albums and their artists from the albums/artists views. Define incomplete album by comparing the “total tracks” tag (if present) of every or the first track in an album with the number of tracks available in that album. Define supplementary artists by checking if their every album is flagged as incomplete.

Problem solved:

Cluttered albums/artists view with incomplete albums and artists that are only featured in a single song in a random playlist.

Brought benefits:

More concise albums/artist listing with only the content I am interested in seeing in these views.

Other application solutions:

Spotify shows only content in my library I explicitly added to it. This is nice, because it is concise, but that is about the only nice thing about the Spotify library UI.

Hello

I really enjoy Symfonium as a Spotify replacement. As I am migrating from Spotify, I would also love to take a couple of large playlists with me. The content of these is a shuffle of so many random albums that I don’t intend to add to my data set in fullness.

I know about the feature of hiding small albums, but I do like my small albums (that are indeed full albums or EPs or singles). I am also aware of using smart filters to look for the word “playlist” in the path or file of the albums. Still, I thought I’d pose the question to see, if maybe this is worthy of a feature.

In any case, thank you for the fantastic app!

Well this is exactly the case here too

Honestly this is a very niche thing, would require all providers to report the total album tracks (they don’t for most), so you are better to organize your media to exclude them.

Put those in a different folder and add 2 folders, that way you can easily filter between the proper library and the rest.

That’s how I handle this, a main library and an other root folder for perfectly legally fine media that appears by magic.

Alright, that makes a lot of sense! Thanks!
