A lot of the files in my library have a disc number tag filled in, even for when there is only one disc. As I add new music to my library, I’ve been deleting that tag in order to not have that header show on the album page. It is good if there is more than one disc, but not needed if there is only a single disc in the release. I think, ideally, it would not be displayed if there are not multiple discs. Just takes up less space and looks cleaner without it.
Problem solved:
disc header is not needed when there is only one disc in the release
Brought benefits:
Looks better without it and allows more useful information to be displayed above the fold
Should not be the case if disc and disctotal is set to 1.
Please open an issue here, provide logs when navigating into an affected album, state which provider this is and possibly upload a file which has that issue to https://upload.symfonium.app/
Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to contribute to the forum. I’ll collect some logs and upload some sample files hopefully sometime this weekend
I have the same issue after letting MusicBrainz Picard tag my files. The discnumber and totaldiscs tag are both set to 1, and the disc 1 header always shows up in Symfonium now. This is the case for all the albums I tagged.
For reference, I’m using Navidrome with effectively the default config, although I doubt that changes anything.
