Gjarvis - jellyfin secondary connection is now failing

App version

Production

Issue description

I can no longer get an external (ie. WAN side) secondary connection to even send a connection attempt to my jellyfin server. For the media provider profile the primary connection is set as LAN side IP/URL, no issues. Adding a secondary connection and killing LAN access (switching to cellular only) and I get nothing in my traefik logs after hitting update. I’ve tested with both my registered FQDN and the WAN public IP address. When I hit the WAN address externally from a browser I get the fellyfin web UI, so it’s not routing or the load balancer redirect. I’ve also test with both quick connect and regular AUTH. When I add this external connection as it’s own separate media provider as a primary connection it works fine, so it’s something with it being a secondary connection. I’m using the same setup I’ve used for previous versions of Symfonium and Jellyfin.

As a side note, when I use my internal DNS URL for my primary connection the app is happy with that address (e.g. jellyfin.int), but as soon as I add the secondary connection it start throwing an error that it doesn’t register as a validly formatted address anymore. It’s not a big deal and I can use the LAN IP address, but it would be nice to be able to keep that internal DNS URL with a secondary connection.

Hope the vacation went well, and I tried to find your ko-fi page but it kept sending me back to my dashboard with yoru link. Love the app.

Device type

Phone

Media provider

Jellyfin

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open working media provider profile (when LAN connected)
  2. Switch to external/Cellular networking
  3. Add secondary connection with known good address, port, and connection type (same settings that work as a stand alone primary connection in external/cellular networking mode)
  4. Hit update, and process times out.

Additional information

Traefik logs show no connection attempt.
