Feature description
Hello, developers. Currently, the Wear OS version of Symfonium relies entirely on a phone to function.
But here’s the problem: if I already have a smartphone, why would I even use a watch? A major benefit of a watch is that I can leave my phone at home and just take my watch with me when I go out.
I hope the Wear OS version of Symfonium can operate completely independently of a phone. It doesn’t matter if it has fewer features—at the very least, it should be able to run without a phone, access the NAS media library via eSIM, and play media.
Problem solved
Transforming Wear OS’s Symfonium from a phone accessory into a standalone device
Brought benefits
You can leave your phone at home and just take your watch with you when you go out.
Other application solutions
My idea isn’t just a pipe dream. Spotify on Wear OS can be used without a phone, which is exactly the kind of functionality I believe Symfonium should offer—as a self-hosted NAS alternative to apps like Spotify.
