Fast scroll touch hit area is too wide

Issue description:

Almost every time I scroll through any list, I accidentally activate fast scrolling. After capturing screen video with the “Show Taps” developer option turned on, I can see that the natural arc of my thumb swipe usually ends up in the margin, even if I didn’t start the swipe that far into the margin. I’m uploading a screen capture of your app, and also a capture of how it works in GoneMad music player. In GoneMad, when swiping, the fast scroll bar appears, but you must then actually tap on the fast scroll bar to enable fast scrolling. That is much more natural to me. As I started typing this, I also tried it it Fx File Explorer for comparison. While it enables fast scrolling similar to your app, and not like GoneMad, it seems the width of the tap area is at least a little narrower, so it also occasionally accidentally activates, but not nearly as often as Symfonium. I think the GoneMad implementation is ideal.

Additional information:

Reproduction steps:

Scroll in Album Artists, or other lists where fast scroll is available. Fast scroll often activates unexpectedly.

The full scrollbar is clickable and draggable for actual fast scroll on large screens.

I do not want to try to reach the small indicator at the top to quickly reach the end of a list.

So for current majority of big screens the current implementation is the correct one.

With that said I can reduce the touch zone to reduce your issue. But your issue is that you actually start the swipe in the zone of the bar not that you finish there, once you start dragged the list the scrollbar no more receive the events.

That makes sense. Hopefully the reduced touch zone will help. Thanks for looking into it.
